The IP's received the contract and reveiwed it with their attorney and then the VERY lengthy and detailed document was sent to Ian and I. We read it over and then reveiwed it with our attorney and made any necessary changes. It was sent back to the IP's for their review and they either accepted or mades changes to our requests. After a final review by us, we were all happy and in agreeance and so we are OFFICIALLY legally cleared to move forward. I am grateful to be on this journey with an amazing couple who is very supportive and who was open to our changes. It surely made the process a bit easier and definitely less stressful.
To be honest this was my least favorite, but obviously one of the most important steps of the process. It wasn't terrible, but it does go over a lot of possible situations that in all honesty you don't want to think about, but need to have a clear plan in place for. I'm glad this step is behind us and look forward to the end of the month when I will find out when we will travel to the fertility clinic for my medical screening.
Next step get medically cleared to move forward!
